Boarding

Experienced reliable daily care for your horse; our full boarding facility can accommodate year-round borders as well as seasonal mares which are only here during the breeding season. All of our horses are fed according to their individual needs, with high quality feed and top quality hay. We also have an on-call vet and transportation at the farm in case of any emergency. Young's Pine River Thoroughbreds is minutes away from Saginaw Valley Equine Clinic. Daily updates and pictures are always available to our clients to keep them informed on the health and progress of their horses. Also all of our clients may call our farm any time to check on their horses.

Mare Management

The staff will foal out your pregnant mare and provide routine care for the newborn foal. A limited number of mares will be accepted with potential foaling dates from January 1st through May 1st. We ensure your mare's are comfortable and healthy during the pregnancy period, day and night. Services Included:

• 24-hour monitoring

• Large (15 ft x 14 ft) indoor foaling stalls

• Video surveillance in each foaling stall

• Foal Alert® monitoring alarm to detect onset of foaling

• Veterinarian on call for each foaling

• Umbilical cord care (navel dipped with Nolvasan® solution 2-4 times per day)

• Enema administered to newborn foal to decrease risk of meconium impaction

• Mare dewormed after foaling to limit parasite infestation of foal

• Newborn foal and postpartum mare examinations

Additional Services Available (at an additional cost):

• Supplemental colostrum, colostrum substitute (i.e. Seramune®), or plasma therapy if needed

• Veterinary services on call for non-routine events (i.e. dystocia, retained placenta, etc.)

• Foal heat breeding services for mare

Sale Prep

Our experienced staff provides personalized and individual care to prepare your horses for the major auctions year around. We prep all our horses at our farm which has a round pen, a riding arena, individual turnout paddocks and horse . During this period we prep horses for the sale to have good manners, good condition and a good state of mind in the sales ring. Accepting Horses of All Ages

Lay ups

We provide lay-ups for horses currently out of training with experienced reliable daily care for your horse. All of the horses are fed according to their individual needs, with high quality feed and top quality hay. We utilize a round pen, a riding arena, individual turnout paddocks, horse exerciser and an aquatic lap pond for a low impact "work out" allowing us to keep your horses in good shape and condition. We ensure, your horses gets the exercise they need during their stay at our farm. We also have an on-call vet and transportation at the farm in case of any emergency.
